In “Lost Odyssey,” you’ll see essentially the same turn-based RPG combat we’ve seen a thousand times before in games such as the Final Fantasy series or Mistwalker’s other Xbox title, “Blue Dragon.” See if this sounds familiar: You’re running around the game when suddenly, a big flash occurs and you’re pulled into the battle screen. This feeling is enhanced by solid voice acting - in five languages no less - and visuals built with such detail that you can read the emotion of the characters through their facial expressions as if they were live actors. This is a platform for which Lost Odyssey would be perfect. ![]() The Steam Deck also offers players the perfect way to experience previously console-exclusive games in handheld form. With the right backing, the game could be a cash cow for Mistwalker if it was ever tempted away from the mobile gaming space. The success of titles such as Triangle Strategy, Fire Emblem, and the remaster of Chrono Cross demonstrates that there is a large market out there who would love Lost Odyssey. The popularity of turn-based JRPGs is at an all-time high. RELATED: Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes Trailer, News & Latest Updates
